Fr. Jis Pettayil is a Catholic priest belonging to the Congregation of the Claretians. He after his post-graduation in philosophy taught at Claretian College of Philosophy in India for 12 years and served as the dean of the College for term from before leaving for France. A specialist on Emmanuel Levinas, he is presently Associate Professor at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse in France where he pursued his Doctoral Research.
