Considering the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic it is important to discuss about the proper nutrition to prevent and control the disease. Nutrition is one of the important approaches to manage the overall health of an individual. Adequate nutrition is critical for a strong immune system. Those with weakened immune system are more susceptible to COVID-19 infection and complications, making it paramount to reinforce the message that good nutrition is essential to build resilience and immunity. Nutrition plays an important role during the COVID-19 treatment in the hospital and after discharge, for those who are at risk and also for the normal individual. During this session Dr Priyanka Pareek discussed about the nutritional care of COVID- 19 inpatients, discharged patients and preventive measures to be taken during this pandemic.
