Dr. Sameeksha Saxena Lamba (PT) from the Medical Learning Hub (MLH) team introduced and welcomed all the panelists and participants. The poll was raised. The structure of the webinar and the general instructions were shared with the participants.
Module 2: Welcome note by the President, API-Gujarat(00:07:24 - 00:12:04)
Dr. Dhiren C. Patel, President, API-Gujarat welcomed all the panelists and participants. Dr. Patel shared his insights on COVID in 2020 and COVID in 2021. He also emphasised on the importance of knowing the treatment and managing the disease. Dr. Dhiren C. Patel then handed over the stage to the speakers and moderators of the day.
Module 3: SARS CoV2 Variants and Vaccination - Dr. Mahadev T. Desai (00:12:04 - 00:43:51)
Dr. Anil Kulshrestha, one of the moderators of the day, welcomed Dr. Mahadev T. Desai to speak on the topic - SARS CoV2 Variants and Vaccination.
Dr. Desai welcomed all the panelists and the participants. He paid homage to all the healthcare workers who lost their lives battling COVID. In this session Dr. Mahadev T. Desai covered the following topics:
What are COVID19 variants?
Difference between the mutation, variants and strains.
Impact of variants.
He also spoke about the various variants of concern. A few studies were shared and explained in detail. The efficacy and efficiency of the vaccines were also explained by Dr. Desai. In all, the session was very knowledgeable and very well explained.
Module 4: COVID19 Management in second wave (00:43:51 - 01:27:28)
Dr. Jitender Anand, second moderator for the day introduced Dr. Bhagirath B. Solanki and handed over the stage to him.
Dr. Solanki began his session by welcoming all the panellists and the participants.
He exhaustively covered the following topics in his session:

Viral Structure
Symptoms and Signs
Investigations
Treatment modalities
Oxygen
Indian guidelines of management of the disease.
All the topics were covered in-depth and were well explained.

The moderators for the day moderated the various questions that were asked by the participants throughout the session. All the questions were answered by the speakers. It was a very interactive session.
